The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India for the five-match Test series against England. India has to play a five-match Test series in England. Young batsman Shubman Gill has been given the Test captaincy. At the same time, star fast bowler Mohammed Shami and middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer have not got a place in the team.

Surprisingly, star middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer has not been selected in the Test team. He was in great form in IPL 2025. Earlier, he was also the hero of Team India in the Champions Trophy.

BCCI has announced the 18-member team for the England tour. 6 bowlers have been selected in the form of Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akashdeep, Arshdeep Singh and Shardul Thakur. There are three spinners in the form of Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav.
Middle order batsman Karun Nair has been selected for the five-match Test series against England. Nair has returned to the Test team after eight years. He last played Test cricket for India in 2017. Shardul Thakur has also been selected for the five-match Test series against England.
