IND vs WI 2nd Day Highlights: The first match of the two-Test series between India and the West Indies is underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On the second day of the match, Indian batsmen thrashed the West Indies bowlers. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the West Indies were bowled out for 162 runs in their first innings. In response, India took a 286-run lead over the Windies in their first innings.

The second day's play has ended. India has scored 448 runs for the loss of five wickets in their first innings. Ravindra Jadeja is currently unbeaten on 104 and Washington Sundar is unbeaten on nine. Today was a great day for India. The team resumed play at 121 for two and today scored 327 runs for the loss of three wickets. India suffered three setbacks in the form of Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Dhruv Jurel. Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) and Sai Sudarshan (7) had already returned to the pavilion on Thursday.
Gill scored a half-century today, scoring 50 runs. KL Rahul then scored his 11th Test century. He was dismissed for 100 runs with the help of 12 fours. Dhruv Jurel also scored his first Test century. He was dismissed for 125 runs with the help of 15 fours and three sixes. Jadeja scored his sixth Test century. India's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reached his century just before stumps. This is Jadeja's sixth century, playing his 86th Test. He also scored a century during the England tour, scoring 516 runs in five matches. Jadeja continued his form against the West Indies. He reached his century off 168 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes. Prior to Jadeja, KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel also scored centuries.

KL Rahul scored his 11th century for India in the first session. He reached his first Test century off 190 balls. However, he was dismissed after lunch at this score. Rahul and Shubman Gill put the team in a strong position by sharing a 98-run partnership for the third wicket with KL Rahul. Gill scored 50 off 100 balls, including five fours.
After the dismissal of these two batsmen, the pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Dhruv Jurel remained at the crease. They scored runs with ease and took the team past 400. Jurel scored his maiden Test century in the final session. He scored 125 runs off 210 balls, hitting 15 fours and three sixes. Before being dismissed, he shared a 206-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Ravindra Jadeja.
