IND vs ENG 4th test: After the loss at Lord's, India could make some big changes for the fourth Test against England, starting July 23 in Manchester. One of the big decisions could be about Jasprit Bumrah.
According to Gautam Gambhir, Bumrah was expected to play only three matches in the series due to workload management. Given this, there is a strong possibility that he could be rested for the fourth Test.
If that happens, Arshdeep Singh could be included in the playing XI. However, this is a do-or-die match for India to keep the series alive, so the team management may opt to play Bumrah despite these concerns. These are the 3 changes India should make in the fourth Test match against England.

Akash Deep bowled with all his might at Lord's but was also seen limping off the field. As per reports, he had complained of hip or back pain which also led to him being dropped from the LSG squad during IPL 2025. This was worrying news for the team management who are already managing Jasprit Bumrah's workload. If Akash Deep is struggling with pain, it would be wise for India to bring Arshdeep Singh into the squad.

Karun Nair's place in the Indian XI will continue to be questioned as he has not scored more than 40 runs in an innings since his return to the Indian team after 8 years. Though the Indian team management is backing Nair and giving him a chance to play for a long time, after trailing 1-2 in the Test series, perhaps it is time to consider either Sai Sudharsan or Abhimanyu Easwaran.

India could benefit from playing a second spinner in Manchester, where the pitch has historically favored spinners as the game progresses. Kuldeep Yadav's recent form and ability to take a large number of wickets could give them the X-factor that fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is currently missing in red-ball cricket.
