IND vs BAN: The first match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh will be played from 19 September (Thursday). This match will be held at MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) in Chennai. Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team in the match, while Nazmul Hussain Shanto will lead the Bangladesh team. The match will start at 9.30 am Indian time.
All eyes are on what will be the bowling combination of the Indian team in the Chennai Test match. The red soil pitch of Chepauk is usually helpful for spinners. In view of this, four spinners have been included in the Indian team. These include the names of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. The special thing is that all four of these players are also useful batsmen, so the claim of all four is strong.

However, if the Indian team goes with four spinners, its combination may get disturbed. In such a situation, one of KL Rahul and Mohammad Siraj will probably have to sit out. In such a situation, there is every possibility that the Indian team will go into the match with three specialist spinners. Kuldeep Yadav is likely to make it to the final eleven along with R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. While Axar Patel, who has been constantly impressing with his all-round game for some time, may have to sit out.

At the same time, the responsibility of fast bowling will be on Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj. This means the Indian team can enter this match with three spinners and two fast bowlers. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant can get a chance as a wicketkeeper. Pant is ready to return to the Test team after a gap of two years. With Pant coming in the playing eleven, Dhruv Jurel, who performed brilliantly in the last series against England, will have to sit on the bench. While captain Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul are almost certain to play.
