The 13th edition of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup is almost about to begin. The eight-team tournament will begin on September 30 and the final will be held on November 2. Australia are the most successful team in Women's World Cup history having won the coveted trophy seven times, while arch-rivals England are not far behind having won the title four times.
New Zealand are the only other team to have won the tournament in 2000, while Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka are looking for their first Women's World Cup trophy. We take a look at everything you need to know about the tournament. The tournament is set to be action-packed as the eight best women's teams from around the world will battle it out for the famous trophy.
Format
There are no groups in the Women's World Cup, all teams play seven matches in the group stage and then the top four teams in the table advance to the knockout semi-finals. The highest ranked team in the group stage will face the fourth ranked team, while the second and third ranked teams will face each other, and the two winners will advance to the title match on November 2.

Warm-up matches
Each team in the Women's World Cup will play a total of two practice matches, except Australia, who will play only one match before the tournament begins. The first day of practice matches will be on September 25, with seven World Cup teams taking part and India A taking on New Zealand in Bengaluru.
The final practice matches will be on September 27 and 28, with defending champions Australia taking on England in Bengaluru in their only match before the tournament begins.
Prize money
The ICC has recently announced a massive increase in the prize money for the Women's World Cup 2025, taking the total prize money to $13.88 million (US Dollars).
Broadcast, live streaming
The ICC Women's World Cup 2025 will be broadcast and live-streamed by various partners around the world. In India and the surrounding subcontinent (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives), the official broadcast and digital partner is JioStar.

Ticket prices for league stage matches in India start at ₹100. Tickets for premium seats and knockout matches will vary.
