The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the full schedule of the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup. The World Cup will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November. The 13th edition of this prestigious tournament will begin with a match between hosts India and Sri Lanka in Bengaluru, while defending champions Australia will begin their campaign against arch-rivals New Zealand in Indore on October 1.
The 2025 Women's World Cup is the 13th edition of the 50-over cricket tournament and will feature eight teams. All eight teams will play each other in a round-robin format and the top four teams after all group matches will qualify for the semi-finals.
The top-placed team after the group stage will face the fourth-placed team in the first semi-final, while the second and third-placed teams will clash in the second semi-final.
If Pakistan qualifies for the semi-finals, its match will be held in Colombo on October 29. If Pakistan fails to reach the semi-finals, Guwahati will host the first semi-final. Defending champions Australia are the most successful team in the history of the Women's World Cup having won it seven times. England have won it five times and New Zealand once.
The ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 is scheduled to begin on September 30.
