India’s historic triumph in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup has not only brought glory to the team but also significantly boosted the rankings of several Indian players in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings.
In the final, India defeated New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs to secure their third T20 World Cup title. Following the victory, the ICC released its updated rankings, where several Indian stars made notable gains across batting, bowling, and all-rounder categories.
ICC T20I Batting Rankings Update
Indian opener Abhishek Sharma continues to dominate the ICC T20I batting rankings. He holds the No. 1 spot with an impressive rating of 875 points.
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan has climbed two positions to reach No. 2 with 871 rating points. Kishan had an outstanding tournament, scoring 317 runs, which played a major role in his rise in the rankings.
He now needs just four additional rating points to surpass Abhishek Sharma and claim the top spot.
Another big gainer is Sanju Samson, who jumped 18 places to reach 22nd in the rankings with a career-best rating of 637 points.

ICC T20I Bowling Rankings
The bowling rankings also saw a major shift at the top. Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan reclaimed the No. 1 position.
Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy slipped to second place after previously holding the top spot.
England’s Adil Rashid moved up one place to fourth, while India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah climbed to sixth.
