This selection is a rare occurrence in the history of international cricket. This is only the second time that three brothers have been selected in the same World Cup team at any level, and the first time in the history of the Under-19 World Cup.

Previously, this feat was achieved 51 years ago in the 1975 ODI World Cup, when Sir Richard Hadlee, Barry Hadlee, and Dale Hadlee had the opportunity to play together for New Zealand.

Now in 2026, three brothers will represent their country in Japan's junior team. These three brothers are:

  • Montgomery Hara-Hinze
  • Gabriel Hara-Hinze
  • Charles Hara-Hinze
