The England team is scheduled to play three ODIs and as many T20 matches against South Africa at home in early September, for which the ECB has announced the squad.
The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced its squad for the ODI and T20 series against South Africa in early September. The England team will play a three-match ODI series against South Africa before September 2, after which a T20 series will be played between the two teams. Jofra Archer has returned to the England ODI team, who played in the Champions Trophy but was not a part of the home series against the West Indies due to injury.
Talking about the England team for the ODI and T20 series against South Africa, Harry Brook will be seen handling the captaincy. Apart from this, Sunny Baker has got a place in the team for the first time, who is part of the England team announced for the ODI series against Africa. This series is going to be very big for Harry Brook, who has been made the new captain of England in limited overs after Jos Buttler left the captaincy. The first match of the ODI series between the two teams will be played on 2 September, while the second and third ODI matches will be played on 4 and 7 September. After this, the first T20 match will be on 10 September, while the second and third T20 matches will be on 12 and 14 September.
