Delhi announces probable squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy: The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) announced Delhi's provisional squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy on Thursday, December 11th. Virat Kohli is included in this team. He will be playing in this domestic ODI tournament after nearly 15 years.
The DDCA stated that Kohli confirmed his availability on December 2nd. He last played a Vijay Hazare match against Services in 2010 and hasn't played a List A match for Delhi since the 2013 NKP Solve Challenger Trophy. This has created considerable excitement among Delhi cricket fans about his return.
Rishabh Pant will also be part of the squad. Pant recently participated in the ODI series against South Africa but didn't get a chance to play. He will now try to make his way back into the ODI team through domestic cricket.
The return of Kohli and Pant has added new impetus to Delhi's Vijay Hazare preparations.

According to a DDCA statement, the selectors have released the probable list for the Delhi senior men's team. This includes players from the SMAT team. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will also join the team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Delhi will begin its campaign against Andhra Pradesh on December 24th. Due to Kohli's presence, this match is expected to draw a larger crowd than a typical domestic match.

Kohli's recent form also keeps him in the news. He scored 651 runs in 13 ODI matches in 2025, including three centuries and four half-centuries. He scored 302 runs and two centuries in three matches against South Africa.
Rishabh Pant is also preparing to return to the 50-over format after a long time. He last played an ODI in August 2024. Kohli and Pant playing domestic cricket together is expected to bring new energy to both the Delhi team and the tournament.
