According to ICC regulations, the stumps must be cylindrical, and their diameter should be no less than 1.38 inches (3.50 centimeters) and no more than 1.5 inches (3.81 centimeters).
According to ICC rules, the bails on the stumps should not protrude more than 0.5 inches (1.27 centimeters) from the stumps. They should not extend outwards and must fit securely on top of the stumps. The ICC approved the use of these modern LED stumps and bails in international cricket in July 2013.
