The pair of Dinesh Karthik and Suyyash Prabhudesai were at the crease while chasing the target of 223 runs against KKR. In the 17th over of the match, Prabhudesai faced the ball of KKR spinner Varun Chakraborty and hit a six which went towards the boundary line, due to which the question arose whether it was a four or a six. The on-field umpires gave away four runs without consulting the third umpire, leading to questions over the umpires' decisions among fans and former cricketers.
