Babar Azam becomes the highest run-scorer in T20Is: Pakistan cricket team's experienced batsman Babar Azam has set a new record in T20 International cricket. He has become the world's first batsman to score the most runs in this format. He has surpassed former Indian captain Rohit Sharma in this achievement.
Rohit Sharma, known as 'Hitman', played 159 T20 International matches between 2007 and 2024, scoring 4231 runs in 151 innings at an average of 32.05. Babar Azam surpassed him by scoring an unbeaten 11 runs in the second match of the ongoing three-match T20 International series against South Africa. At the time of writing, the 31-year-old Pakistani legend now has 4234 runs in T20 International cricket.
