Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian fast bowler to achieve 900 plus ICC Test Rating Points: Jaspreet Bumrah is currently the number one bowler in the ICC Test Rankings, but before the Boxing Day Test match, he has set another record. After a brilliant performance in the third match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played against Australia in Brisbane, Jaspreet Bumrah has become the bowler to achieve the highest rating points as a fast bowler in Test cricket for India, while he has also equaled the highest rating points achieved by any Indian Test bowler. Ravichandran Ashwin had achieved the highest 904 points in his career. Bumrah has also achieved the same number of points.

Jasprit Bumrah had recently become the number one bowler in the ICC Test Rankings and after taking 9 wickets in the Brisbane Test match, his rating points increased by 14 points and he crossed the mark of 900 from 890 to 904. Earlier in December 2016, R Ashwin, who retired recently, held the number one position with 904 rating points for India.

It is important to mention here that England's Sydney Burns holds the world record. In 1914, he scored 932 points, while England's George Lohman is at number two with 931 points. Pakistan's world champion captain Imran Khan is at number three in this special list of Test history with 922 points. Sri Lanka's great spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is at number four with 920 points and Australia's Glenn McGrath is at number five with 914 points.

Mohammed Siraj has climbed one place to 24th position in the list and Travis Head has entered the top 100 in the bowlers' list. Australian team captain Pat Cummins is fourth with 822 points and retired Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is at number 5 with 789 points. Ravindra Jadeja has lost 4 places and is now at number 10. Mitchell Starc is at 11th, while Nathan Lyon is at number 7. Matt Henry is at sixth, Sri Lanka's Prabhat Jayasuriya is at 8th and Pakistan's Novan Ali is at number 9.
