Pakistan May Boycott Their Match Against India in T20 World Cup 2026: Pakistan is not backing down from its actions. Last Sunday, Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad was announced, but now there are reports that they might boycott the match against India. According to media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering two options: the first is boycotting the entire T20 World Cup 2026, and the second is boycotting the match against India on February 15th.

The ICC has already removed Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup, and Scotland has taken their place. According to the Pakistani channel Geo TV, the PCB might boycott the India vs. Pakistan match, scheduled to be played in Colombo on February 15th, in protest of this ICC decision.

The most surprising news is that instead of boycotting the entire World Cup, Pakistan is planning to withdraw only from the match against India.

Reason: Pakistan might withdraw from this match citing political tensions and security concerns. A meeting is scheduled between Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif this evening.

Only after this meeting will an official decision be made on whether Pakistan will play against India or not.

Mathematically, this move by Pakistan seems like a well-thought-out strategy. The India-Pakistan match is scheduled to be played on February 15th in Colombo.

"According to Geo News, Pakistan is ready to forfeit the match and lose 2 points. They believe that the other teams in the group are not strong enough, and by defeating them, Pakistan can easily qualify for the next round (Super 8)."
