The first match in the Pune leg of the Pro Kabaddi League is to be played between Bengaluru Bulls and Gujarat Giants. This season is going to be very disappointing for both the teams. Bengaluru has lost 13 out of 15 matches this season and is at the last position of the points table. Gujarat is also at the 11th position after losing nine out of 14 matches. Both the teams are now playing for prestige in the remaining season. Bengaluru has lost consecutively in the last eight matches, while Gujarat has lost only two out of the last five matches.
Both the teams are in trouble due to the flop of star players. Bengaluru had bet on Pardeep Narwal who has failed miserably. Pardeep has been able to take only 68 raid points in 13 matches this season. Gujarat had bought Guman Singh for Rs 1.97 crore who is making a comeback after failing initially and has taken more than 100 points. Bengaluru's Nitin Rawal is the most successful raider of this season with 52 tackle points. However, apart from him, no other player is able to show consistency. Gujarat's defense has proved to be a complete flop.
