The Indian women's team has registered several impressive wins in T20 Internationals in the last few years, reflecting their growing strength and depth in the T20 squad. Some of their most impressive performances have come in the form of big wins where they have dominated the opposition. From explosive batting to good bowling, India's women's team reflects their rising status in world cricket.
India Women defeated Malaysia Women by 142 runs in their first match of the Women's Asia Cup T20 in 2018. The match was played at Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur on June 3, 2018. India Women scored 169 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs with Mithali Raj scoring an unbeaten 97. In reply, Malaysia Women were bowled out for just 27 runs in 13.4 overs. Pooja Vastrakar took 3 wickets for 6 runs while Poonam Yadav and Anuja Patil took 2 wickets each.
Played at Sylhet District Stadium on October 2022. Winning the toss and batting first, the Indian women's team scored a strong 178 for 5 in 20 overs, with Jemimah Rodrigues scoring an unbeaten 75 off 45 balls and Deepti Sharma scoring a brilliant 64 off 49 balls. In response, the UAE women's team struggled to chase the target and could only score 74 for 4 in 20 overs, giving India a 104-run win.
The group-stage match of the Commonwealth Games 2022 Women's T20 cricket competition played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on 3 August 2022 was very important. Batting first, the Indian women's team scored a strong score of 162 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs, in which Jemima Rodrigues contributed an unbeaten 56 and Shefali Verma contributed 43 runs. In reply, the Barbados women's team was all out for 62 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Renuka Singh Thakur bowled brilliantly for India, taking 4 wickets for just 10 runs, helping India register a spectacular win by 100 runs and make it to the semi-finals.
On 28 June 2025, the Indian women's team registered a stunning 97-run win against the England women's team at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. This was the first match of the five-match T20 series between the two teams. The Indian women's team scored a strong score of 210/5 thanks to Smriti Mandhana's brilliant T20 century of 112 runs off 62 balls. In reply, the England women's team was bowled out for just 113 runs in 14.5 overs, with debutant Sri Charani taking 4 wickets for 12 runs. This 97-run win was England's biggest defeat in women's T20 history
