Australia announces squad for ODI and T20 series against India: The Australian squad for the upcoming ODI and T20 International (T20I) series against India has been announced. While there have been some major changes to the team, some young players have been given opportunities who could pose a challenge to India.

The biggest decision in the Australian ODI squad is the exclusion of Marnus Labuschagne. He has been dropped from the team due to his poor performance (only 1 run each) in the last two innings against South Africa.
Fast bowler Mitchell Starc has also returned to the team. Starc had taken a break since November 2024 due to workload. Starc, who recently retired from T20 Internationals, could increase the difficulties for the Indian batsmen.
Young players like Matt Renshaw, Matt Short, and Mitch Owen have been included in the ODI squad.

The T20 series against India begins on October 29. Cricket Australia has announced a 14-member squad for the first two matches. This marks the return of Nathan Ellis and Josh Inglis, who did not play in the recent T20 series against South Africa.
This series is considered crucial in preparation for next year's ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Selection committee chairman George Bailey indicated that there could be some changes to the T20 squad in the future to allow players time to prepare for domestic cricket and the Test series.
