Mohsin Naqvi Agrees to Return Trophy, But One Condition: India won the Asia Cup 2025 final by defeating Pakistan, but despite the victory, the Indian team returned home without the trophy. After the resounding victory over Pakistan in the final, the Indian team took a major decision and refused to accept the trophy from the Pakistani official. This decision was taken due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, due to which Team India not only refused to shake hands with Pakistani players but also refused to accept the trophy from any Pakistani official. Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi, after which Naqvi went to the ACC headquarters with the trophy.

The controversy over the Asia Cup trophy has now taken an administrative and political turn. The BCCI plans to raise the issue as a formal protest at the ICC meeting in Dubai in November.
