Shehnaaz smiled and said:

"He must be my brother, probably from our side, from Amritsar. When he trends, my name also starts trending. Seriously, there must be some kind of brother-sister connection."

She further clarified her point by saying,

"I asked myself and the answer I got was, 'We're from the same side. Shubman is like my brother, just a similar name. He's good, he's playing well, and he's very sweet.'"

Shehnaaz's answer made it clear that there's no family relationship between her and Shubman Gill. It's just a funny coincidence that both have the same surname and state (Punjab), which is what sparked this rumor.
