Andre Russell Breaks Silence: In a conversation with Cricbuzz, Andre Russell revealed the main reason for his retirement. He clarified that it all depends on the number of matches and travel.
"It all depends on the number of matches and travel. You have to pay a lot of attention to staying fit and recovery. You have to practice every day, go to the gym, but you also have to make sure that you don't put too much strain on your body."
He explained that his body is no longer able to handle the fast-paced workload as it used to.

The Real Reason Behind His Shock IPL Retirement: For Russell, playing the role of an all-rounder in the IPL has always been challenging. He explained that as an all-rounder, he has to bat, bowl, and also field.
Handling so much responsibility is no longer easy for his body.He also clarified that he didn't want to be in the team solely as a batsman or solely as a bowler:
"I don't want to be in the team just as a batsman or just as a bowler. My batting and bowling together make me a complete player. If I only play one role, it wouldn't be right for me."

Russell concluded by saying that the IPL is the biggest league in the world, and every player wants to perform at their best here. But now, his body's capacity is not what it used to be, so he decided to withdraw from the IPL, prioritizing his physical health.
