Following Milne's withdrawal, New Zealand has included experienced fast bowler Kyle Jamieson in the main squad. - Will O'Rourke, Blair Tickner, Nathan Smith, and Ben Sears are currently injured.
- Lockie Ferguson is out of the India series due to a calf injury.
- Mitchell Santner, Mark Chapman, and Matt Henry have recently returned from injuries.

Coach Rob Walter's Statement
Team head coach Rob Walter expressed his disappointment at Milne's withdrawal, saying:
"We are all very sad for Adam. He had worked very hard for this tournament and was also looking in great form in the SA20. This is unfortunate timing for him."
Expressing confidence in Jamieson, he said, "It's good for us that Kyle is already with us in India. He is a key member of our pace unit and has been looking in good rhythm on this tour."
