Abhishek and Kuldeep nominated for ICC Player of the Month award: Indian star Abhishek Sharma, along with Kuldeep Yadav and Zimbabwe's Brian Bennett, has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award for September 2025. All three players delivered impressive performances last month, including several match-winning performances.
Abhishek and Kuldeep played key roles in India's ninth Asia Cup title, while Bennett's impressive batting helped Zimbabwe qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Notably, Zimbabwe failed to qualify for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Abhishek Sharma was named Player of the Tournament for the Asia Cup 2025. He scored 314 runs in seven innings, averaging 44.86 and striking at 200, the highest in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav was brilliant with the ball, taking 17 wickets in seven innings to become the tournament's best bowler.

Brian Bennett was nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award: On the other hand, Brian Bennett also performed brilliantly. He scored 497 runs in nine T20 matches, averaging 55.22 and striking at 165.66. In his first three matches, he scored 72, 65, and 111, helping Zimbabwe to crucial victories.

The ICC has also announced the names of women cricketers for the Player of the Month, with India's Smriti Mandhana, South Africa's Tajmin Brits, and Pakistan's Sidra Amin shortlisted. All three had impressive performances last month.
Smriti Mandhana scored two centuries in the three-match series against Australia, including a record century in just 50 balls in the final match—the fastest century by an Indian woman player in the ODI format.
Sidra Amin scored 293 runs in three matches, averaging 293. She scored 121 not out, 122, and then a half-century in the third ODI to lead her team to victory in the final match of the series.
Tajmin Brits also continued her impressive form, scoring 272 runs in just two innings. She scored 101 not out and 171 not out, and was named Player of the Series.
