Shubhanshu Shukla returns to Earth after axiom-4 mission: Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, who is making India proud, has returned after a historic space journey.
After staying on the International Space Station (ISS) for 18 days, Shubhanshu along with his three fellow astronauts of the Axiom-4 mission landed on the California coast in the Pacific Ocean at 3:01 pm today.
It took Shubhnshu about 22 and a half hours to reach the earth from the ISS. SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft separated from the ISS on Monday. The undocking process (separation of the spacecraft from the ISS) took place at around 4:45 pm Indian time.

Shubhanshu reached ISS on 26 June
Astronauts of Axiom-4 Mission Shubhanshu and three other astronauts Peggy Whitson, Slavosz Ujnanski-Wisniewski of Poland, Tibor Kapu of Hungary reached ISS on 26 June under Axiom-4 Mission. Since joining ISS, these astronauts have covered a distance of about 76 lakh miles and made 288 orbits around the Earth for about 433 hours or 18 days.
