Janhvi Kapoor trolled for saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai: Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is promoting her upcoming film 'Param Sundari', became a victim of trolling on social media after she chanted "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" during Janmashtami celebrations. The video is from Saturday when Janhvi participated in the Dahi Handi event at the festival. The actress, who has been facing criticism and memes online, has now reacted to this through Instagram Stories. She posted a clip of the event, which shows the moment when she was called to break the handi and the crowd was already chanting the slogan.
In her caption, she wrote, "The entire video is LOL. If you don't speak after he speaks, then it's a problem, and even if you speak, the video is edited to make meme material." Janhvi further added, "By the way, I will chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' every day, not just on Janmashtami."

Param Sundari Movie: During the event, the 'Janhvi Kapoor' actress also gave a short speech in Marathi in which she wished everyone a Happy Janmashtami and urged fans to watch 'Param Sundari', which is releasing in theatres on August 29. This upcoming romantic comedy is based on an inter-cultural love story between a Delhi boy (Sidharth Malhotra) and a Kerala girl (Janhvi Kapoor). The film also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Akash Dahiya in pivotal roles. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan. 'Param Sundari' is set to release in theatres on August 29.
