A senior White House official has confirmed that the United States will also remove the additional 25 percent tariff imposed on Indian imports. This decision was taken after India agreed to change its policy on purchasing Russian oil.
India to Completely Stop Buying Russian Oil
Under the agreement, India will not just reduce but completely stop buying crude oil from Russia. Instead, India will increase oil imports from the United States and Venezuela. According to US officials, this move will strengthen trade balance and energy cooperation between the two countries.
