Patna: In a bold pre-election declaration, Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly and RJD chief, announced that every household in Bihar will have at least one government job if his alliance comes to power. He assured that a special legislation will be passed within 20 days of forming the government to make this promise a reality.
A Historic Employment Promise
Calling it a “historic announcement,” Tejashwi Yadav emphasized that his promise is not political rhetoric but a commitment backed by data. He asserted that unemployment is Bihar’s biggest issue, which the current NDA government has ignored for two decades.
“There will be no home in Bihar without a job,” Yadav declared confidently, outlining his plan to provide economic justice to the people.
Legislation Within 20 Days of Government Formation
Yadav promised that his government would introduce a new law within 20 days of taking office to ensure at least one government job per family. He also mentioned that within 20 months of forming the government, every eligible Bihar household will have a government employee.
“This is not a jumla. It’s based on real data and achievable planning,” he stated, taking a direct jab at the NDA for offering only unemployment allowances instead of real employment solutions.
Criticism of NDA’s Track Record
Tejashwi Yadav criticized the BJP-JDU alliance for failing to address the state’s unemployment crisis. He claimed that while his opposition is focused on creating jobs, the ruling coalition is offering temporary relief in the form of allowances.
“For 20 years, this ramshackle government ignored Bihar’s youth. They copied our announcements, but the people of Bihar now want change,” he added.
Focus on Economic and Social Justice
Yadav emphasized that his mission goes beyond social justice — he aims to deliver economic justice to every family in Bihar. His statement highlights the RJD’s broader election strategy, which blends welfare politics with youth empowerment.
“The people of Bihar want real change, not slogans,” he said, urging voters to support his alliance for a better future.
Election Timeline
The Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be conducted in two phases — on November 6 and November 11. Counting of votes will take place on November 14. The model code of conduct is already in place, preventing the ruling government from making any new promises.
