Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Review: After the superhit love story of "Saiyaara," a series of love and romance stories have been coming to the screen, whether it's "Dhadak 2," "Param Sundari," or "Tu Meri Poori Kahani." However, none of them managed to win the hearts of the audience. In this vein, Shashank Khaitan returns this week with "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari."

Shashank has previously delivered hit love stories like "Badrinath Ki Dulhania," "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania," and "Dhadak." However, this time the result wasn't as impressive. The film is a bright romantic comedy, but its lighthearted premise makes it neither original nor memorable. It ends up being simply a time-pass entertainer.

The story revolves around Sunny Sanskari (Varun Dhawan), a happy-go-lucky guy who is head over heels in love with Ananya (Sanya Malhotra). But after two years of dating, one day he is about to propose to Ananya. That very day, Ananya breaks up with him, revealing that she is marrying Vikram (Rohit Saraf), the savior of a business tycoon family. Ananya says that her family believes Sunny is not the right choice for her.

On the other hand, due to family pressure to marry Ananya, Vikram has also rejected his 12-year-old love, Tulsi Kumari (Janhvi Kapoor). Despite their failed romance, Sunny remains unconvinced and, along with Tulsi, hatches a plan to sabotage Ananya and Vikram's marriage so they can reclaim their love. Posing as a passionate couple, they infiltrate Vikram and Ananya's destination wedding, and then the jealousy begins. But whether they can break up their marriage and find their love is something you'll find out after watching the film.

Positives and Negatives

On one hand, the film offers light romance, some fun moments, a fun pairing for Varun and Janhvi, and colorful wedding and marriage scenes. On the other hand, it also has a dated story, flat characters, and a drawn-out screenplay. The songs aren't particularly memorable.

Should Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari watch the movie or not?

If you're just looking for light romance, wedding glamour, and a few laughs, it's worth a watch. But if you're looking for a fresh story, deep characters, and exciting twists, this film won't be very impressive.
