Share Market Today: Heavy fall in stock market, Sensex falls 566 points and Nifty falls 152 points
Share Market Today: The domestic stock market opened with a big fall on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex was trading 565.59 points (0.68%) down at 82,729.07 at 09.25 am on Tuesday. Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 index was also trading 151.70 points (0.59%) down at 25,561.30 at the same time. The market had closed with a big gain on Monday. On Monday, the Sensex had closed 479.95 points (0.58%) higher at 83,294.66, and the Nifty had closed 0.58% or 141.75 points higher, closing 0.55% above the 25,713 level.
Only 8 out of 30 Sensex companies were trading with gains.
At 9:27 am on Tuesday, only 8 out of 30 Sensex companies were trading with gains, while the remaining 22 were trading with losses. Similarly, only 14 out of 50 Nifty 50 companies were trading with gains, while the remaining 36 were trading with losses. At the time of writing, among Sensex companies, Tata Steel was trading with the highest gain of 0.46%, while Eternal was trading with the highest loss of 3.51%.
Stocks trading with marginal gains -
Among the rest of the Sensex stocks, Power Grid was trading up 0.33%, State Bank of India 0.22%, NTPC 0.21%, Axis Bank 0.19%, Asian Paints 0.17%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.05%, and HDFC Bank 0.05% in early trade today.
IT sector stocks fell sharply -
Shares of HCL Tech fell 3.15%, Infosys 3.10%, Tech Mahindra 2.70%, TCS 2.68%, Bharti Airtel 2.48%, Bajaj Finance 1.43%, Trent 1.22%, BEL 0.98%, ITC 0.71%, Titan 0.70%, Bajaj Finserv 0.69%, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.58%, Adani Ports 0.53%, Maruti Suzuki 0.44%, UltraTech Cement 0.38%, Hindust Unilever 0.29%, Indigo 0.27%, ICICI Bank 0.22%, Reliance Industries 0.22%, Sun Pharma 0.20% And L&T was trading with a decline of 0.09 percent.
