Nitesh Tiwari is directing a mythological film for the first time. Ramayan is the most awaited and expensive film of his career. Not only Nitesh Tiwari but Ramayan has proved to be the most expensive film of Indian cinema. The makers have invested so much money in making this film that you will also be shocked to know.
Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayan is being made in two parts. The first part will be released in 2026 and the second part in 2027. The cast is fantastic. The VFX is also amazing, there is a complete plan to show the nuances of cinematography and other things on screen. In such a situation, to show Ramayan in the best way on the silver screen, the makers have not thought about the budget at all. The makers are investing so much money on this film that even a superhit film cannot earn so much.
Ramayan budget
According to Bollywood Hungama report, the makers have kept a budget of not 100-200 crores but a full 1600 crores for the Ramayana franchise. The budget of the first part of Ramayana alone is Rs 900 crore, while Rs 700 crore has been kept for the sequel. Such a huge expenditure makes 'Ramayana' the most expensive series in the history of Indian cinema.
Ramayana has such a huge budget of Rs 1600 crore, which includes everything from star cast to production and VFX. The budget in the second seems to be less because all the star cast will be seen in the sequel and there are some big action sequences on which money is being spent.
