Sourav Ganguly is known as a great player not only in the history of Indian cricket but also in world cricket. Now a film is going to be made on Sourav Ganguly, who is considered the 'Dada of Cricket', in which Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao will be seen playing the lead role.
Rajkummar Rao will play the lead role in Sourav Ganguly's biopic: Bollywood industry's famous actor and National Award winner Rajkumar Rao has himself confirmed in a conversation with NDTV that he is going to play the role of Sourav Ganguly. Rajkumar Rao said that he is very nervous about this role, but at the same time he is also very excited for the new challenge. The Bollywood actor said in an interview to NDTV that 'I am nervous, this is a huge responsibility, but it is going to be a lot of fun'. The actor further said that he is ready to bring the Bengali accent on screen.

Sourav Ganguly also confirmed: Sourav Ganguly said that 'Rajkumar Rao has been finalized for this film and I don't think anyone else can play my character better than him'. Regarding Rajkumar Rao in his biopic, Dada said that 'I think the right person is doing it... I will help him in every way'.

Sourav Ganguly is one of the most successful captains in Indian cricket history. Ganguly played cricket for Team India from 1992 to 2008. Ganguly said that the shooting of the film can start in January 2026. At the same time, this film can be released in theaters in the month of December at the end of 2026.
Sourav Ganguly's cricket career
Sourav Ganguly made his international debut in January 1992. He scored 7212 runs in 188 innings of 113 Tests in his career at an average of 42.17 and a strike rate of 51.25. During this, he scored 35 half-centuries as well as 16 centuries.
Dada also played 311 ODIs in his career. He scored 11363 runs in 300 ODI innings. During this, his average was 41.02 and strike rate was 73.70. Ganguly scored 72 fifties and 22 centuries in ODIs. His best score in this format is 183 runs.
