On the tenth anniversary of one of India’s most iconic cinematic universes, acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli has officially announced 'Baahubali: The Epic', a monumental two-part combined version of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' (2015) and 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' (2017). This reimagined saga will hit theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.

Marking the special milestone, Rajamouli shared a heartfelt post on X, writing, 'Baahubali'. The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with Baahubali: The Epic, a two-part combined film.

Unlike a simple re-release, 'Baahubali: The Epic' is not just a stitched-together version of the two movies. According to reports, Rajamouli and Arka Media Works have re-edited the narrative to create a seamless storytelling experience, introducing new cuts, enhanced visuals, and possibly even previously unseen sequences. The goal is to present the full saga of Mahishmati’s royal conflict in an uninterrupted, elevated cinematic format.

When 'Baahubali: The Beginning' was released in 2015, it wasn't just a film; it was a movement. With groundbreaking VFX, compelling storytelling, and characters that became household names, it set a new benchmark for Indian epics. The sequel, 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion', broke every box office record in sight, earning a staggering Rs 1788.06 crore globally, compared to Rs 650 crore for the first film. The combined box office strength of the franchise reshaped how Indian cinema was perceived globally.

The Cast That Made It Iconic

Central to Baahubali’s success was its powerhouse cast:

  • Prabhas as both Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali, whose performances gave the saga its soul
  • Anushka Shetty as Devasena, the warrior queen with resilience and grace
  • Rana Daggubati as Bhallaladeva, a villain who redefined cinematic menace
  • Tamannaah Bhatia as Avantika, Sivudu’s love interest and a rebel fighter
  • Ramya Krishnan as the majestic Rajmata Sivagami, commanding both screen and narrative
  • Sathyaraj as Kattappa, the loyal guard whose infamous betrayal still echoes through pop culture

The announcement has already stirred massive excitement online. One user posted on X, OMG can't wait ..Personally, I loved 'Baahubali 2' more. Amarendra Baahubali is love, but 'Baahubali 1' builds the all-important base. Overall, I'm seated to see how both are combined into 1.

Fan clubs, Reddit threads, and film communities have all ignited with theories, nostalgia, and speculation about what 'new cuts' and surprises might be included in this 2025 release. With over a year until release, the anticipation is palpable and growing.

Re-releasing a film isn’t a new concept, but combining two industry-defining blockbusters into one reimagined experience is a bold and visionary step. For a generation that lived through Baahubali’s rise, and for new audiences yet to discover it, this re-cut is poised to be a theatrical celebration like no other.

From myth to legacy, and from the past to the future, 'Baahubali: The Epic' is Rajamouli’s way of etching the legend deeper into cinema history.

Come October 31, 2025, get ready to relive the grandeur, the battles, the betrayals, and the roar of 'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?' all in one epic experience. The throne of Mahishmati awaits.
