PUBG Mobile Esports has officially revealed the key details of the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1. The announcement confirms the participating regions and slot distribution for the main event. Notably, India, Korea, Japan, and China will not have any slots in this edition of the tournament.
PMGO 2026 Season 1 Dates and Format
The PMGO 2026 Season 1 main event is scheduled to be held from June 2 to June 7, 2026. A total of 32 teams will compete in the global showdown, representing various regions across the world. The event is expected to bring together top PUBG Mobile squads from emerging and established competitive regions.
PMGO 2026 Season 1 Slot Distribution
PUBG Mobile Esports has confirmed the following slot allocation for the 32-team main event:
- Southeast Asia (SEA): 5 slots
- South Asia (SA): 3 slots
- Middle East & North Africa (MENA): 6 slots
- Eastern Europe & Central Asia (EECA): 4 slots
- Turkey (TR): 5 slots
- Western Europe (WEU): 2 slots
- Americas: 4 slots
- Africa: 1 slot
- Host Country: 2 slots
This distribution officially confirms the absence of India, Korea, Japan, and China from PMGO 2026 Season 1.
Why India’s Absence Matters
India returned to global PUBG Mobile competition at the PMGC 2025 in Thailand, ending a gap of nearly three years. Teams such as True Rippers and Orangutan represented the country on the international stage.
Although Indian teams did not make a deep competitive run, their participation resulted in strong viewership growth and high fan engagement. Because of this, many fans expected India to receive a slot at PMGO 2026 Season 1. However, the official slot list confirms that Indian teams will not compete in this event.
Other Major Regions Not Included
Along with India, Korea, Japan, and China - regions traditionally known for strong PUBG Mobile performances - are also missing from the PMGO 2026 Season 1 lineup. Their exclusion suggests a focus on expanding global representation across emerging regions.
PMGO 2026 Season 1 Location
According to PUBG Mobile Esports, PMGO 2026 Season 1 will take place in the Southeast Asia region.
However, the exact venue and host city have not yet been announced.
Upcoming Updates
More information regarding the event location, qualified teams, and broadcast schedule is expected to be released closer to the tournament dates. Despite the absence of several major regions, PMGO 2026 Season 1 is expected to deliver intense competition with a diverse global lineup.
