The wait for the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) is expected to end soon. The Ministry of Agriculture is preparing to transfer ₹2,000 directly into farmers’ bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) before Holi.
According to sources, the installment may be credited on or before 4 March 2026, ahead of the Holi festival. Farmers who missed the 21st installment due to technical issues are likely to receive ₹4,000 this time.
When Will the PM Kisan 22nd Installment Be Released?
The 21st installment of the PM Kisan scheme was released on 19 November. Since then, farmers have been eagerly waiting for the next payment. As per officials from the Agriculture Ministry, all preparations for releasing the 22nd installment have been completed.
Holi will be celebrated on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, and it is expected that the government may credit the installment before this date. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding the exact release date.
₹4,000 for Farmers Who Missed the 21st Installment
During the release of the 21st installment, several farmers did not receive the amount due to technical problems such as incomplete eKYC or bank issues. Such eligible farmers are expected to receive both the pending and current installments together, totaling ₹4,000, provided all required conditions are fulfilled.

Reasons Why the 22nd Installment May Be Stopped
The 22nd installment may be delayed or stopped if farmers do not meet the following requirements:
- eKYC is not completed
- Bank account is not linked with Aadhaar
- Land records are not verified or registered on the PM Kisan portal
To ensure that benefits reach genuine farmers without intermediaries, the government has made eKYC mandatory. Farmers who have not completed eKYC should do so immediately to avoid payment issues.
