The Indian teams will qualify through the Free Fire Max India Cup (FFMIC) 2026, which is expected to happen around mid-2026, just before the Esports World Cup.

FFMIC 2026: India’s Only Pathway to Global Events
Right now, FFMIC 2026 is the only official way for Indian teams to reach international Free Fire tournaments. The top three teams from this event will represent India at EWC 2026.
Looking Back: India’s Absence and Global Legacy
India missed the Esports World Cup 2025 because Free Fire was banned and there were no official tournaments. The last EWC event had a $1.01 million prize pool, and EVOS Divine from Indonesia won the title.
With official events returning, Indian teams now have a fresh chance to compete globally.
Final Words
The return of India to Free Fire global esports is a huge moment. With three slots at EWC 2026 and FFMIC 2026 as the qualifier, Indian Free Fire esports is ready for a strong comeback.
