How Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar Handle the Dark Thriller Bhagwat Chapter One Raakshas: Films have been made to highlight stories from the criminal world. Some films raise awareness, while others simply tell a story and move on. The film "Bhagwat Chapter One: Rakshasa," released on ZEE5, also depicts a story inspired by true events.

How does the story of "Bhagwat" begin?

The story begins in Robertsganj in 2009. Poonam Mishra does not return home. The family suspects that a boy of a particular religion has kidnapped her. The family files a complaint at the police station. The case is politicized, leading to riots in the city. ACP Vishwas Bhagwat (Arshad Warsi) is transferred from Lucknow to Robertsganj.

He has a past. He has a short temper and often beats up criminals. Arriving in Robertsganj, he investigates Poonam's case. Checking phone records reveals that several girls have disappeared in a similar manner. These girls are linked to Professor Sameer, also known as Rajkumar (Jitendra Kumar).

The story may be weak, but this film will move you to your core.

The opening and closing lines of Bhavini Bheda's story and screenplay, "Truth must be spoken to keep it alive," and "With courage and perseverance, the devil can be defeated," sum up the film's meaning. This is an important film, and it also conveys the message of how dangerous it can be for girls to fall in love without thinking." However, the story falters several times before reaching its conclusion. Some characters are incomplete, leaving many questions unanswered. The way Sameer, aka Rajkumar, defends himself in court before a professional lawyer after reading a few books, is unconvincing.

The dialogues merely reveal Sameer's intelligence and the events that have happened to him. However, the film fails to delve into his past and provide any concrete reason for his crimes. The absence of cameras at any bus station or lodge in the 2009 story also raises questions. After the girl's death, Sameer calls another girl from her phone, but the missing girl's phone is not traceable to her family or the police.

Despite these questions, this story, inspired by real-life events, is shocking at points, with girls sometimes forced into prostitution and sometimes preyed upon by a deranged man. Ultimately, one is eager to see if Sameer receives severe punishment for his actions. The outcome is heartwarming. Director Akshay Shere deserves praise for his ability to piece together this fragmented story. Hemal Kothari's editing keeps the film's duration under control. Cinematographer Amogh Deshpande's camera captures the small-town scene perfectly. Some of Sumit Saxena's dialogue could have been better.

Arshad-Jitendra's pairing is amazing -

After the web series "Asur," actor Arshad Warsi has once again proven that he can play both comedic and serious roles well. Jitendra Kumar has surprised everyone with his character, breaking away from his Panchayat and Kota Factory image. Ayesha Kaduskar has done a good job in the small role of Meera.
