Holika Dahan (March 13, 2025)

According to astrologers, the full moon (Purnima) will begin at 10:02 AM on March 13 and conclude at 11:11 AM on March 14. As a result, Holika Dahan is set for March 13. However, there will be a 13-hour Bhadra period on this day, making it unfavourable to execute the ceremony during the day. Hindu scriptures urge that Holika Dahan be performed only at Nishita Kaal (late at night) and when Bhadra is not present. So, with Consideration to the time of Purnima Tithi and Bhadra, Holika Dahan ought to take place on March 13 at the late night. The optimal timeframe for Holika Dahan is between 10:35 and 11:26 p.m., which gives the ceremony one hour and nine minutes.

Holi (March 14, 2025)

This year, Holi will be observed on Friday, March 14, 2025, according to Drik Panchang. On March 13, 2025, the Purnima tithi will start at 10:35 AM and go till 12:23 PM on March 14, 2025. However, because Chaitra Krishna Pratipada falls on March 15, some areas are also considering using that day for Holi celebrations based on Udaya Tithi, or dawn timing.

The festival falls on the Purnima (full moon) of the Hindu month of Phalguna, and its timing may vary slightly based on regional traditions and lunar calculations.
