Today's Gold and Silver Prices: On Wednesday, March 18, gold and silver prices are witnessing a decline in the domestic futures market. At the time of writing this report, gold futures contracts with an expiry date of April 2, 2026, were trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) with a decline of approximately ₹500.
Gold and Silver Prices Today: A decline in gold and silver prices was observed on March 18
On the MCX, gold futures contracts opened at ₹1,55,658 (per 10 grams). On the previous trading day, gold had closed at ₹1,55,985 on the MCX. At around 9:50 AM, gold futures were trading at ₹1,55,488, down 0.32 percent. In early trading, gold futures had touched a high of ₹1,55,788.
Today's Silver Prices:
On the MCX, silver futures contracts with a May 5, 2026 expiry were trading at ₹2,50,750 (per kilogram), reflecting a decline of 0.93 percent—or approximately ₹2,300. Silver opened the trading session at ₹2,51,498. During intraday trading, the metal touched a high of ₹2,51,639.
In Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, 10 grams of silver is currently selling at a rate of ₹2,650. Meanwhile, customers wishing to purchase 100 grams of silver will have to spend ₹26,500. In Chennai, the price of 10 grams of silver stands at ₹2,801.
