Adani Group has entered EV Charging Infra. The Gautam Adani-owned conglomerate has partnered with MG Motors India. The purpose of this agreement is to set up EV charging stations at MG dealerships. Adani TotalEnergies e-Mobility Limited (ATEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), and MG Motor India have signed an MoU to strengthen EV charging infrastructure in India, it said in a statement.
According to Mou, ATEL will install CC2 60 kW DC chargers at MG dealerships to strengthen the charging network and increase customer reach. This partnership will enable supply, installation, commissioning, maintenance and strengthening of charging infrastructure.
During this time, keeping in mind the convenience of the customers, a digital platform will also be launched. Let us tell you that Adani Total Gas Limited, City Gas Retailing of Adani Group and TotalEnergies retails CNG and domestic gas in many cities across the country. Apart from this, now the group has decided to enter the field of EV also.
ATEL currently has over 300 charging points. These include both AC and DC. It is spread across various areas like highway pitstops, shopping malls, RWAs, workplaces and fleet charging hubs. Its installed capacity is about 6 MW. These days work is being done on around 500 charge points.
As part of the MG Charge initiative, it plans to install 1,000 charging points in residential areas across India within 1000 days. 500 charging points have already been installed in it. It wants to install 1,000 charging points in residential communities and apartments in 1,000 days, of which 500 have already been installed.
