According to information received from the website of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Goa and Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, August 27.

On the big occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, banks will continue to function normally in the country's capital Delhi and all other states and union territories. Let us tell you that the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with many other names in different states.

Apart from Wednesday, August 27, all banks will remain closed in Odisha and Goa on Thursday, August 28. The second day of Ganesh Chaturthi is also celebrated in Goa. At the same time, there will be a holiday in Odisha on the occasion of Nuakhai festival. Nuakhai is a major folk festival of Odisha. This simply means that there will be a bank holiday for two consecutive days in Goa and Odisha. After which banks will work like normal days on Friday and Saturday.
