NCERT has launched free online courses for students in grades 11 and 12. Enrollment will begin on September 22, 2025, and the exam will be held on March 3, 2026. Successful students who score more than 60% will receive a certificate.
Free Online Board Exam Preparation Courses for Classes 11 and 12 by NCERT
If you're studying in grade 11 or 12, there's good news for you. The National Council of Educational Research and Training has launched free online courses to make students' studies easier. These courses are intended to help students prepare for board exams. The best part is that these courses will be available on the government's SWAYAM portal, and students can take them from home without any fees.
The admission process for these courses will begin on September 22, 2025. Students interested in enrolling will have until February 20, 2026, meaning they can enroll for approximately 5 months.
What will be the duration of the course?
The total duration of the course will be 24 weeks, meaning students will have approximately 6 months to complete all modules and chapters. The final exam will be held on March 3, 2026. To appear for the exam, students must register by March 2, 2026.
What subjects will these courses be available for?
NCERT has developed courses in different subjects for classes 11 and 12. For class 11: Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology. For class 12: Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology. All these subjects are divided into chapters and modules so that students can study sequentially and systematically.
All these courses will be prepared and taught by experienced NCERT teachers. Each subject includes topics that will strengthen students' foundation and help them perform better in board exams. Being online, students will be able to study at their convenience and on time.
After completing the course, students will have to take an exam. If a student scores 60 percent or more in this exam, they will receive a certificate from NCERT. This certificate will be crucial to students' academic achievement and can be helpful in further studies or career advancement.

Students interested in participating can easily apply by visiting the swayam.gov.in website once enrollment opens. There is no fee.
