Multiplexes have been assigned a show quota based on their screen count. Cinemas with two screens are required to screen the film eight times per day, while larger multiplexes with 10 or more screens must schedule up to 31 shows daily. This ensures widespread visibility and availability, which is expected to contribute significantly to opening weekend numbers.
The unconventional strategy appears to be working. According to early data from Sacnilk, the film has already garnered an advance collection of ₹1.03 crore across India, even before the official release day. With over 39,000 tickets sold for Day 1, Sitaare Zameen Par is heading into cinemas with strong momentum.
