Ek Chatur Naar Review: Divya Khosla and Neil Nitin Mukesh's film 'Ek Chatur Naar' has been released in theatres. If you are planning to watch this film, then read the review first.

Ek Chatur Naar Movie Review: Dark Comedy or Missed Opportunity?

Why are some films made, for what purpose are they made, do the makers ask themselves these questions after making them? Perhaps they do ask, but then they think that it is already made, let's do the marketing. Let's do PR and sell it, because we are intelligent, but perhaps they forget that the audience is the most intelligent. This film is so intelligent that it does not consider the audience to be intelligent and this is where it fails.

How is the story?

Mamta is a poor woman, living in poverty with her mother-in-law and child. She works as a security guard in a mall, works as a waiter. One day she gets a phone from a man, there are many secrets in that phone. She blackmails him and does it very cleverly. She feels like this, then what happens after this, if this film comes on OTT, then definitely watch it, that too when there is nothing to do.

How is the film?

This film is a waste of time, the twists and turns of this film seem childish. An attempt has definitely been made to make something, but that too was not done properly. You will get to see a lot of overacting in this film. After watching this film, you may also remember old films. Although the twists in them were also funny, but calling them twists here would be an insult to this word. This film is also an insult to a great song like Ek Chatur Naar. You do not understand why this film has been made. This film only gives you a headache.

How is the acting?

Divya Khosla has tried to do something different here, but this attempt is futile. This character does not suit her and she seems to be overacting. Neil Nitin Mukesh's work is good, he is the only actor in the film who has done a good job. Chaaya Kadam looks very bad, she should not do such roles, especially when she gets so much praise in film festivals. Such roles do not suit an actor of Sushant Singh's stature.

Writing and direction?

Himanshu Tripathi has written the story and did he really write it? Umesh Shukla has directed it. The work of both is very bad, neither the story nor the direction has any strength and that is why this film looks bad. If you are making a female-centric film then it should have strength, the film cannot be watched just because of the female character.
