Apoorva Mukhija, also known online as The Rebel Kid, has finally addressed the current India's Got Latent debate in a shocking turn of events that has rocked the Indian content creation community. Mukhija, who has over 3 million Instagram followers and is known for her daring, uncensored storytelling, decided to release her much-awaited 'Story Time' YouTube video, Till I Say It Is, on Wednesday, April 9.

The controversy stems from an explosive episode of India’s Got Latent, a YouTube series hosted by comedian Samay Raina. The show featured a prominent panel including YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps, comedian Jaspreet Singh, content creator Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija.

During the episode, aired in February, remarks perceived as vulgar and inappropriate triggered a massive public backlash. One of the most scrutinized moments involved Ranveer Allahbadia asking a contestant a sexual question related to their parents. Apoorva Mukhija also received criticism for a comment deemed objectionable.

The YouTube video, titled Till I Say It Is, premiered at 6 PM on April 9. In the video, Apoorva discussed the incident with emotional depth and transparency—hallmarks of her popular Story Time series. Her fans, known affectionately as cute little red flags, responded with overwhelming support.

The video made it clear: Apoorva Mukhija is reclaiming her voice and story.

Before releasing the video, Apoorva returned to Instagram and shared screenshots of the threats she received—including acid attack threats, rape threats, and death threats. The emotional toll was evident.

She posted a warning: Trigger Warning: This post contains mentions of acid attacks, rape threats, and death threats, followed by a chilling caption: And that’s not even 1 percent.

The backlash didn’t end online. The National Commission for Women NCW summoned all individuals involved, including producers Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra.

Ranveer Allahbadia received interim protection from arrest on February 18. However, the Supreme Court labeled his comments as vulgar and described his mindset as dirty mind that put society to shame. He has been temporarily restricted from posting content related to the ongoing case.

Apoorva’s video isn’t just content—it’s a movement. It reflects the intersection of cancel culture, online trauma, and resilience. In her own words: I’ll define the narrative. I’ll say when it ends. Till I say it is.
