The premiere will be live streamed on Jio Hotstar for subscribers and the episodes will also be telecast on the famous Telugu channel Star Maa. Nagarjuna will introduce the contestants during this grand premiere and with this the 9th season of this exciting show will begin.
What is the theme of Bigg Boss Telugu 9?
The theme of season 9 is 'Agnipariksha'. The theme will depict the tough challenges faced by the contestants inside the Bigg Boss house. The dual house format will take an interesting turn when celebrities and commoners will either live separately in two houses or come together to take part in both the houses.
Ahead of the main season, the makers launched a pre-show titled Agni Pariksha - Sabse Bada Se Pehle Sabse Bada. Hosted by anchor Sreemukhi, the show saw 45 selected contestants participate in a number of physical and mental tasks. A panel of former Bigg Boss stars including Bindu Madhavi, Navdeep and Abhijeet evaluated the contestants.
Out of the 45, only 15 commoners were selected to move forward. These include Manish, Priya, Anusha, Sreeja, Pawan, Prasanna, Shreya, Shakib, Shweta, Naga, Kalki, Pawan Kalyan, Harish, Divya and Dahlia. All of them will compete against each other and try to secure the final spot in the Bigg Boss house along with famous celebs.
