March 2025 Bank Holidays: The Reserve Bank of India prepares a list of bank holidays every month, according to which it is decided in which states the banks will be open and on which days the banks will be closed.

You too must have gone to the bank for some work at some time or the other? Some go to the bank for a loan and some for some other work, but whenever you are going to the bank, you must first see whether the bank is open or closed today. It also becomes necessary so that our work does not get stuck. In this sequence, the month of February has ended and the month of March has started from today.
In such a situation, if you are also planning to go to the bank this month for some work, then it becomes important for you to know how many days and when the bank will remain closed. So let us know according to the list of holidays issued by the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI, when and for how many days the banks will remain closed in March. Banks will remain closed for 14 days in the whole month:-
2,7,8 and 9 March
- Banks will remain closed across the country on March 2 as it is Sunday.
- Chapchar Kut is on 7th March due to which all the banks in Mizoram will remain closed.
- March 8 is the second Saturday of the month and hence banks across the country will remain closed.
- March 9 is a Sunday holiday, so banks across the country will remain closed.
From 13 to 15 March
- Holika Dahan and Attukal Pongal will be celebrated on March 13 and due to this all the banks in Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala will remain closed.
- Holi with colours will be played on 14th March, hence all the banks of the country will remain closed except Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala and Nagaland.
- Holi and Yaoshang festival is on 15th March due to which banks of Tripura, Manipur, Odisha and Bihar will remain closed and will remain closed.
On March 16, 22 and 23
- On March 16, banks across the country will remain closed on Sunday.
- March 22 is the fourth Saturday of the month due to which banks across the country will remain closed and on the other hand, due to Bihar Day, all the banks in the state will remain closed.
- There will be a Sunday holiday on March 23, due to which banks across the country will remain closed.
On 27, 28, 30 and 31 March
- All banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed on March 27 on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.
- All banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed on March 28 due to Jumat-ul-Vida.
- Banks across the country will remain closed on March 30 due to Sunday holiday.
- Eid-ul-Fitr is on March 31, due to which all banks across the country except Himachal Pradesh and Mizoram will remain closed.
