In a dramatic escalation amid rising tensions in West Asia, former U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed a major military operation targeting three of Iran’s key nuclear facilities: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. The attack comes during the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict and marks one of the most aggressive U.S. actions in the region in recent years.

Trump Confirms Strikes, Calls for Peace

Addressing the American public at 10 p.m. local time (7:30 a.m. IST), Trump announced the airstrikes and stated that the United States had no choice but to take action. "We launched a major attack on Iran.We did something tonight that no other military force could have done.," Trump said. He emphasized that efforts were made to avoid this confrontation, but circumstances left no alternative. "Now, Iran must choose peace. There will be more strikes if it doesn't."

The former President warned that the strikes were only the beginning, and many more targets remain. He stressed that if Iran retaliates, the U.S. will respond with even greater force. “There will either be peace or destruction,” Trump asserted.

Targets: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan

According to Trump’s statements on his Truth Social platform, the airstrikes hit three nuclear locations: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. These sites are believed to play a major role in Iran’s nuclear program. The Fordo facility, in particular, was reportedly hit with six bunker buster bombs and was “completely destroyed,” according to open-source intelligence reports shared by Trump.

Additional reports claimed that 30 Tomahawk missiles were used to target the Natanz and Isfahan sites, both critical hubs in Iran's uranium enrichment network.

American-Israeli Coordination

In his address, Trump thanked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and praised the coordination between the U.S. and Israeli forces. “We worked as a team like no team has ever worked before,” he stated. Trump also acknowledged the role of the Israeli military and extended his appreciation to the American service members involved in the operation.

“I congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight, and the entire U.S. military for an operation the world hasn’t seen in decades,” he added.

Warning to Iran

Trump delivered a stern warning to Iranian leadership, referencing past actions by Tehran, including attacks on U.S. troops and support for militant groups. He brought up the role of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, whom the U.S. killed in 2020, and reiterated that continued hostility would not be tolerated.

"For 40 years, Iran has targeted the U.S. and Israel. This ends now. If they continue, future attacks will be larger and quicker. Most of our remaining targets can be destroyed in minutes,” Trump said.

Global Reaction and Aftermath

While full details of the damage and casualties are yet to be confirmed, Iran’s state news agency IRNA acknowledged the strike on Fordo, indicating a significant impact. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, as the possibility of further escalation remains high.

As the dust settles, all eyes are on Iran’s response. The message from the United States was clear: a return to peace is still possible, but further aggression will be met with overwhelming force. The future of regional stability now hinges on what steps Tehran chooses to take next.
