Harleen Deol ruled out of Womens Premier League (WPL) 2024 due to knee injury

Gujarat Giants have suffered a major blow as their star batsman Harleen Deol has been ruled out of the ongoing Women's Premier League 2024 (WPL 2024) due to a knee injury.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, Gujarat Giants (GG) star batsman Harleen Deol has been ruled out of the remaining part of the ongoing WPL 2024 due to a knee injury. As a result, Vidarbha batsman Bharti Fulmali has been selected as Harleen's replacement, and she was seen practicing with the team ahead of the WPL 2024 game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 6.

Harleen Deol ruled out of WPL 2024

Harleen Deol got injured in her left knee while fielding in the very first over of the UP Warriors (UPW) chase in Bengaluru. It was Gujarat Giants (GG)'s third league game, and soon after she walked off the field limping.

Since then, India's star batting-all-rounder has not returned to action in the ongoing WPL 2024. She was seen in the dugout during Gujarat Giants (GG)'s 19-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Delhi yesterday on March 6, but she was not in the Giants kit.

Sneh Rana will play against Mumbai Indians: On the other hand, Gujarat Giants (GG) are also worried about the match fitness of their vice-captain Sneh Rana, who has missed two consecutive matches due to an undisclosed illness. However, Cricbuzz reports that Sneh Rana has recovered from that undisclosed illness, and is available for selection for Gujarat Giants (GG)'s next WPL 2024 match against defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 9.
