Dalip Singh Rana, better known as The Great Khali, was born in Himachal Pradesh and rose from humble beginnings to become one of India’s most famous wrestlers.
Standing around 7 feet 1 inch tall, Khali’s enormous physique and incredible strength made him one of professional wrestling’s most intimidating superstars.
In 2006, The Great Khali joined WWE and quickly became a global sensation, battling some of wrestling’s biggest names, including The Undertaker and John Cena.
Khali made history in 2007 by defeating Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, becoming the first Indian-born wrestler to win a major WWE world title.
Beyond WWE, Khali inspired millions of Indians to follow professional wrestling. He later founded the Continental Wrestling Entertainment academy to train future Indian wrestlers.
