Punjab Kings have suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in IPL 2026, which has increased the problems of the team.
This time Punjab got this defeat against Mumbai Indians, who won by achieving the target of 201 runs in the match played in Dharamshala.
Due to this defeat, the road to the playoffs has become difficult for Punjab, while captain Shreyas Iyer has recorded a bad record.
In IPL, Iyer has become the first captain whose team lost the most times despite scoring a score of 200 or more 7 times.
Under the leadership of Iyer, different teams played first in 20 matches and scored more than 200 runs and won 12 matches, while in 7 their teams lost.
No other captain has lost such a match more than 5 times in IPL, whereas in overall T20 cricket, only Faf du Plessis teams have lost 7 times by scoring more than 200 runs.
As far as Punjab Kings are concerned, they have become the first team in the world to lose 10 matches by scoring more than 200 runs while batting first.
